Kawasaki
-Dallas M.
My heart is beating. My heart is in pain. My colors are red. My colors are dead. My life flashes before my eyes. There are 100,000 people and 19 are diagnosed with Kawasaki disease and one of them is me. I had a 30% chance of living. They told my mom to pack a bag and plan on staying at the hospital and she would be lucky if she left the hospital with me. At 14 months old, I was diagnosed with Kawasaki disease. The right side of my heart was dilated; the 4th valve is thinned out. I want to be normal like the others, but I’m not. I am a special little girl, and I realize that. My mom has taught me to never take life for granted. I was told I am a KAWASAKI DISEASE SURVIVOR.
